My minor in Visual Arts allowed me to create some paintings and drawings in college. My interest in painting also inspired me to create some works on my own. Below my six favorite pieces from college, along with a little information about each piece.

- I think trees are beautiful, and decided to paint one on my dorm walls freshman year. I made the leaves the same size and shape as CDs, and hung CDs as some of the leaves from thumbtacks stuck in the wall. A big thanks to my friend Neha for helping me with this project.

- Inspired by the blown glass ceiling in the Belagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. This acrylic on wood painting now serves as a shelf in my room, on which I put all my guitars and drums. A big thanks to my friend Neha (again!) for helping with this project.

- This was the view of Duke's East Campus from the porch of my dorm.

- My mother asked me to make a painting for a room in our house, to complement the rug in that room. I inverted the colors of the rug and stuck with the same pattern. The flowers are raised, made first with plaster and then painted.

- This was done in a painting class as an exercise in mixing blacks and grays, and using a palette knife. By using only palette knives and no brushes, I was able to give the painting some great texture.
